Majestic Pink Ivory Timber

So I found the most beautiful timber this week. I thought it was called Pink Ebony but it is actually called Pink Ivory. I think i may have been having a Mcartney / Wonder moment!

These two pieces are not only rare but have the most mouth watering figuring. I can see an ethereal backgammon board waiting to realease it's angelic powers. Pieces of wood like these don't come around very often and I was lucky enough to see it in the flesh.

If I were matching a colour palette to this timber, I'd be looking at inspiration from the Majestic Chinese Mahogany trees and blossom fields or the landscapes of Jarilgach island in Ukraine. If you look at these photos. below you can imagine the beauty of this board.

I'm going to work up a visulisation of this board mainly because I can't stop myself doing it. I'll keep you posted.
