Dice game while the kettle cooled

Kettle finished and the tea was still too hot, so I sat at the counter and opened a dice game a friend had mentioned earlier. Rolled a few times, set a low target on the first one, then tried a higher number just to see. Nothing big happened and I closed it when the mug was finally drinkable. Felt simpler than the ones with lots of symbols. Do these dice rounds usually stay that quick, or do they pull you into changing the target once you start?

Dice on a screen always look a little cleaner than the ones I remember shaking in a cup. Watched someone play a few rounds at a table last month and the numbers just appeared, no real sound. Different from the physical ones where you can feel the weight. I never stuck with either for long. Mostly noticed how little else was on the screen compared to the slots with all the extra panels. I still prefer games where you can set the thing down and know the result without staring the whole time.
